As you know, or you may not know, that essential oils are the “very essence” of the plant or tree, the basis of its metabolism. The oils can actually be considered the “liquid” immunity of the plant itself.
The oils come from from all parts of the plants; stems, roots and leaves just to name a few of the many parts that are actually used. It is very true that when pricing essential oils, the price seems to be a little unreasonable. This is very unsubstantiated, in fact essential oils are very cost effective. Because when an essential oil is used in a correct manner it does not take much of the oil to accomplish the purpose it was purchased for, usually just a few drops. Organic essential oils will be a little more pricey but even more cost effective, for the simple fact it is more pure. Potency of the essential oils depends on how pure they are, the more pure they are the more therapeutic effect you will receive from the oil. Make sure that any oil that is purchased, is certified “all natural” and “chemical free”, or don’t even think about purchasing the oil. At some points during the processing of the oils, there are processes that the plants go through that sometimes can and sometimes will alter the strength and purity of many oils.
To know which oils have not been put through theses processes, find oils that are labeled extra virgin or cold pressed. There are a variety of uses for essential oils. Such as; aromatherapy, bath conditioners, massage or medicinal just to name a few of the uses for essential oils.

All the oils have there own therapeutic properties as well as some share some therapeutic properties as well. If you choose to start using essential oils, here is a few tips. Never put oils directly on skin,(unless directed to do so by a professional aromatherapist, who has a license) always dilute with carrier or base oils. When you dilute it will basically help the oil cover a wider area and last longer.
It does not reduce the strength of the oils effects. Essential oils also can be used in the bath. What better way to relax and unwind than tho add a few drops of essential oils to your bath water, with the added benefits to your skin.
It is important to remember that when using oils in the bath, the bath tub will become very slick so do be careful when moving around or leaving the bath. When done with bath to prevent injuries, make sure that tub is cleaned out. When purchasing oils it is important to purchase from a reputable company, make sure of all ingredients used and content of oils.
